Road to Wimbledon Tennis Challenge

The Road to Wimbledon supported by Slazenger 14U Challenge is a unique competition providing an opportunity for venues to engage and inspire their 14U pupils/players. By entering the tournament and staging an event venues can give their players the chance to qualify to compete on the grass courts at Wimbledon.

This year’s Road To Wimbledon National Finals were held at the All England Club in August, with Kent’s County winners Alex and Bella playing in the Boys and Girls events respectively. There was also a Competition held for the LTA’s Regional players which included Kent’s Ben. Ben won the Regional Boys Singles and Doubles, whilst Alex reached the County Boys Doubles’ semi-final.

This event is a great opportunity for club players to win through their club event and play against other club winners in a county grass court event, ahead of the county winners getting to play at Wimbledon itself. Alex, Bella and Ben certainly all enjoyed their experience at Wimbledon this year.
