Primary Events 

Kent Boroughs - School Games Organiser Events

For beginners in Year 3, 4, 5 or 6

This event is for beginners only and is played on a small, badminton sized court with soft sponge balls and 21"/23" rackets.  Your local School Games Organiser (SGO) will co-ordinate the event.  The player format and scoring may varies depending on the SGO/area.  To enter, speak to your local SGO or club.  

London Boroughs - School Games Organiser Events

For all levels in Year 3, 4, 5 or 6

These events involve teams of 4 players with a minimum of 2 girls per team.  There are Mini Tennis Red events for Year 3 and 4 players and Mini Tennis Orange events for Year 5 and 6 players.  Your local School Games Organiser (SGO) will co-ordinate the event.  The player format and scoring may varies depending on the SGO/area.  To enter, speak to your local SGO or club. 

Kent Primary Schools Competition - Qualifiers and Finals 

For all levels in Year 3, 4, 5 or 6

Kent Tennis Primary school events are open to everyone, from less experienced to more advanced players.  We run separate Girl's and boy's team events, with each team consisting of 2 players.  We run Mini Tennis Red events for Year 4 and below, Mini Tennis Orange events for Year 5 and below and Mini Tennis Green events for Year 6 and below.  Players can only play in 1 event and the top teams will qualify for the county finals.  Scoring formats are either tiebreak scoring or timed matches.  To event, download the form here

Secondary Events 

Team Tennis Kent Schools - Division 3

For beginners/recreational players in Years 7-13

Kent Tennis Player Standard Division 3 is more suitable for beginner players who are looking for an introduction to tennis.  Players compete in a team of 2, with separate events for boys and girls.  Events are grouped for Years 7 and 8, years 9 and 10 and years 11-13.  They are 1 day festival recreational doubles events that use green balls.  To enter, please email Siobhan.

Kent Secondary School Competition

For all levels in Years 7-13

Kent Secondary Schools competitions are for players of all levels.  Players compete in teams of 2 with separate events for boys and girls.  Events are grouped for Years 7 and 8, Years 9 and 10 and years 11-13.  They are divided in to beginner and club player draws then eventsconsist of doubles matches starting in round robin boxes leading to knockout draws.  To enter, please download the form here

Team Tennis Kent Schools - Division 2

For club level players in Years 7-13

Kent Tennis Player Standard Division 2 is more suited to players who generally have a rating between 10.2 and 8.2.  Players compete in a team of 4, with separate events for boys and girls.  Events are grouped for Years 7 and 8 and years 9 and 10.  They consist of singles and doubles matches starting in area leagues and culminating in county and then regional finals.  To enter, please email Siobhan.

Team Tennis Kent Schools - Division 1

For club/county level players in Years 7-13

Kent Tennis Player Standard Division 1 is more suited to players who generally have a rating of 8.1 or higher.  Players compete in a team of 4, with separate events for boys and girls.  Events are grouped for Years 7 and 8 and years 9 and 10.  They consist of singles and doubles matches starting in area leagues and culminating in county and then regional finals.  To enter, please email Siobhan.

LTA National Championships

For club/county level players in Years 7-13

Players compete in a team of 4, with separate events for boys and girls.  Boys in Years 7-13 compete in the Glanville Cup and girls in Years 7-13 compete in the Aberdare Cup.  The events consist of singles and doubles matches starting in area knock out draws and culminating in national finals.  This event is a Grade 6 LTA sanctioned event where players will be able to earn ratings wins, enter via the LTA website

Kent County Championships

The Kent County Championships, always held in the last week of August, are the highlight of the Kent Tennis calendar with nearly 400 players taking part across events for every age group. The Bromley Tennis Centre staff work together with Kent Tennis and volunteers to create a great atmosphere for players and spectators alike
