WHAT IS COUNTY
TRAINING?
Our Junior County Programmes unite top players from across the county in a supportive, fun, and high-energy environment. The goal is to develop individual talent while building strong team spirit in this primarily individual sport.
The programme includes monthly County Camps for 7U & 8U players and County Training for ages 9U–18U, with additional specialist camps held throughout the year.
While singles play is included, the focus is on the British Tennis Doubles System, tailored by age group captains to prepare players for the County Cup. Training usually takes place on Sundays.
Branded county kit is available to purchase by players who attend County training.

TALENT SPOTTING
Coaches can nominate 8U players to attend an Open Day based on the 8U competency test that they can deliver at their club. All other age groups are selected in August, using the county selection criteria.
Talent spotting: We are lucky to have so much junior talent within Kent. If you feel you have a talented player at your club that may not already be on our radar, then please contact our Kent Tennis County Performance Manager Craig Allen.
