The Female Leadership Scheme, subsidised by Kent Tennis and the LTA Tennis Foundation, aims to help females, regardless of age or playing ability, not only overcome obstacles and improve their on-court coaching skills, but also meet inspirational women in tennis who can open their eyes to potential career paths.

WHITSTABLE LTC INCLUSION PROGRAMME – AN INCLUSIVE SUCCESS STORY FROM VANESSA OAKES, DISABILITY LEAD
Whether it’s walking, wheelchair, sensory, dementia-friendly, limited mobility, or pan-disability tennis that’s required, WLTC aims to accommodate. The club is passionate about making tennis as inclusive as possible, running an ever-expanding and exciting community programme. An important part of this is outreach. Our motto is: “If you can’t come to our courts, then we will come to you.”

CASE HISTORY GRAVESEND LTC
Working with a faith community in Gravesend. This area is among the most deprived in the UK, where 43% of households are in relative poverty. More than 15,000 Sikhs live there, making up 15% of the population. They have typically never engaged with tennis.

Awards Presentation
The event, held at Avenue Tennis in Gillingham, brought together members of the Kent Tennis and Padel communities to recognise and celebrate the achievements of individuals, clubs, schools and organisations across the County. Congratulations to all our county winners and finalists. Good luck to our 5 National Finalists who have been selected to attend the National Ceremony at the NTC on Thursday 16th April 2026.
